Our laboratory facilities are situated at the BioScience Center of Wageningen University in Lelystad. The core facility contains an enclosure wherein tick colonies are housed behind a high containment barrier. These ticks validate our in vitro tick-feeding methods and are used to run bioassays to test novel anti-tick compounds. In vitro culture facilities are available for tick-borne pathogens, whereas various parasitological, serological and molecular diagnostic methods complement our lab.
