TBD International BV is an independent consulting company providing services and products on ticks and tick-borne diseases of veterinary and medical importance. TBD-I responds to the increasing demand for innovative tick control methods to reduce the impact of ticks on the health and wellbeing of people, companion animals and livestock around the world.
TBD-I was founded in 2014 and is registered at the Chamber of Commerce in Utrecht, The Netherlands. TBD is an acronym for Tick-Borne Diseases.
Prof. Frans Jongejan

Frans Jongejan is a veterinary parasitologist and former director of the Utrecht Centre for Tick-borne Diseases (UCTD) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Utrecht University in the Netherlands. He holds an extraordinary professorship at the Faculty of Veterinary Science in the Department of Veterinary Tropical Diseases of the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
